The death has occurred of Paul Judge former Newtown Blues and Louth player of the sixties & seventies. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Funeral mass on Monday 24th July in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11am. Burial afterwards to St. Peter's Cemetery.
Ar Dheis Dé go Rabih a anam.

The club would like to take this opportunity to thank Patsy Fulham for his dedication as club secretary over the last number of years to the club and his support and representation of the club at county board level. The amount of time and dedication that Patsy has given to the club could easily go unnoticed as he quietly kept the wheels turning and ensured that all club matters were dealt with in a structured, meticlious and fair manner. Along with the development committee we have Patsy to thank in particular for our fantastic pitches and lights as he was instrumental in working with the development committee to get this work completed. While we are sorry to see such a dedicated member leave the committee we appreciate that it's time for him to take a well earned rest and just wander down to the field without worrying about what needs to be done. Go raibh maith agat Patsy. Gillian Harte has been passed the baton of secretary and we wish Gillian all the best in her new role. (I'm sure Patsy will be on hand to help out!)
Honorary President Appointment
The club is delighted with the appointment of two honorary presidents- Dessie Quinn and Oliver Judge. Both men have serviced the club with distinction in a player, mentor and committee member capacity over the years. Apart from the playing field, Oliver was instrumental in documenting the 125 year celebrations exhibition and is the clubs main archivist, while Dessie was the main organiser of many a club gathering over the years keeping the Blues community together in the Star and Crescent. We welcome their appointment as they get to sit back and enjoy their grandchildren continue on in their footsteps.
