Newtown Run 2012

Well done to all our runners & walkers that took part in the 12.5km Newtown Run 2012. You all made the day very special for the club. Thanks to all that assisted our runners along the way keeping them motivated and safe on the roads. It was a great day for the club and community. 
Thanks to all the buns, cakes & sandwich makers that provided a feast for the runners & helpers. A special mention mus
t go to Johnny Doherty for all his hard work to produce a great event along with all the enthusiastic and dedicated committee members.

GO RAIBH MíLE MAITH AGAIBH.
 The Newtown Run 12.5k took place on Sat 15th Sept @ 2pm. The Course has been officially measured and the event is approved by the Athletics Association of Ireland. The run will be chip timed and there will be various prizes on offer. 
 Registration is E15 on-line which is available until Wed 12th Sept incl. or E20 thereafter at the Club grounds until the morning of the run. The course leaves the Newtown Blues clubhouse on the Termonfeckin road in Drogheda and winds its way through Greenhills, along the beautiful Boyne estuary, past historic Beaulieu House and through the townlands of Newtown Stalaban and Town Rath, before heading home by the Ballymakenny road, Greenbatter and Newfoundwell to finish in the Club grounds.
