Féile Semi Finals 18th April 2011

St Mary's              3  -   10

Newtown Blues    1   -   9

St Mary's held the lead throughout the game but they had to fight all the way against a good Newtown Blues side.  James Conlon scored 2 – 1 and Craig Keenan 1 – 0 and these goals were decisive in a game that was full of skill, good movement and courageous commitment from both sides. There were a lot of good players on view. Dean McConnon added 0 – 3 for Mary’s as did Ryan Rooney who was superb, Lorcan Malone got 0-2 and Evan Keenan 0-1. Cillian Byrne, James Conlon and Rory Cousins were in top form for the winners.

Blues will feel they never got out of the blocks in this game against a physically stronger Mary’s team. Best for Blues Were Kevin Carr, Jamie Kelly, Robert Sullivan and Ross Guildea.

Scorers: Ross Nally 0 - 4, R. Garry 0 - 2, F.Donohoe 0 – 1,  C. Farrell 0 - 1 C. Downey 0 - 1, and D.Doyle 1 – 0.
